Ben-Har® 1151-XL-240 is a unique silicone rubber coated fiberglass sleeving, one that attained the first ever UL recognition of a fabric-reinforced sleeving for 240°C service temperatures. By combining a proprietary silicone rubber formulation with an extrusion-coating technique, Ben-Har® 1151-XL-240 realizes excellent mechanical and electrical properties for high temperature insulation needs.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
- Excellent low temperature flexibility.
- Resistant to inorganic acids, alkalis and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
- Slight swelling may be caused by aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated organic solvents. Ketones and esters have a softening effect.
Ben-Har® 1151-XL-240 is ideal for high temperature insulation needs. It is typically used as a protective covering for automotive wire harnesses and ABS brake wiring. It is also used for aerospace and aircraft wiring leads and for covering leads on extrusion plastic molding, die-casting machinery and presses.
