As a leading global wick manufacturer, we understand the vital role the wick plays in the wide variety of candle systems offered in today’s market. Our Wick Sample Kits allow you to test a variety of sizes of our six leading wick series: Aroma-Lite®, Helix, HTP, Cotton Core, Paper Core, and Bleached Square.
Sample Kits are offered by Wick Series for those looking to test for size of a particular wick, as well as, by Candle System Size for those looking to test a variety of wick series to fit their particular candle system. All wick kit items are ready to use as they are all pre-waxed, cut, and tabbed assemblies. Assemblies are coated in our Regular Wick Wax (paraffin wax) and cut to 6” lengths.
Our Leading Wick Series by Type
Aroma-Lite® Wick series are self-trimming cored wicks specifically engineered to burn in candle systems with high levels of fragrance. These wicks are a blend of all-natural precision braided textiles designed especially for those tough-to-burn container and pillar systems. Aroma-Lite® wicks are also intended to reduce and/or inhibit carbon heading. Our Aroma-Lite® Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: Aroma-Lite 60, Aroma-Lite 100, Aroma-Lite 110, Aroma-Lite 120, Aroma-Lite 140, Aroma-Lite 160, Aroma-Lite 180, Aroma-Lite 200, Aroma-Lite 220, and Aroma-Lite 240.
Bleached Square Wick series was originally designed for beeswax candles. Although used in all types of candles today, the unique wick construction of this series combined with our chemical treatment processes makes this an excellent choice for systems using waxes that are highly viscous when molten, such as beeswax and vegetable wax. These wicks are engineered to curl when burning which aids in minimizing carbon build-up. Our Bleached Square Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: #5/0 BL SQ, #4/0 BL SQ, #3/0 BL SQ, #2/0 BL SQ, #1/0 BL SQ, #1 BL SQ, #2 BL SQ, #3 BL SQ, #4 BL SQ, and #5 BL SQ.
Cotton Core Wick series is a commonly used in a variety of candle systems such as votives, pillars, and containers. These wicks produce a robust flame and provide increased rigidity in the molten wax pool. Our Cotton Core Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: 10-26 C, 28-24 C, 30-24 C, 36-28 C, 34-40 SP C, 36-24-24 C, 44-24-18 C, 44-28-18 C, 51-32-18 C, and 51-36-18 C.
Helix Wick series was engineered by braiding two Aroma-Lite® wicks together with intent to develop a wick that can burn in the more difficult candle systems with high levels of fragrance. These wicks overcome the often-difficult situation of achieving a large wax pool with a singular wick system. Helix wicks are unique in construction as they are reinforced with a paper core that delivers style and performance different than any other wick in the market. Our Helix Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: Helix-1, Helix-3, Helix-5, Helix-7.5, Helix-10, Helix-15, Helix-20, Helix-25, Helix-35, and Helix-40.
HTP Wick series was designed to deliver the benefit of a predictable wick posture self-trimming wicks offer combined with the rigidity characteristics cored wicks provide. These wicks are especially well-suited for tough-to-burn formulations that may contain a variety of additives. HTP wicks are manufactured with high-performance fibers and make an excellent choice for paraffin, vegetable, and gel candle systems. Our HTP Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: HTP-41, HTP-52, HTP-62, HTP-73, HTP-83, HTP-93, HTP-104, HTP-105, HTP-1212, and HTP-126.
Paper Core Wick series is similar in design to our popular Cotton Core wick series but provides even more rigidity in the molten wax pool. These wicks are commonly used in votive, pillar, and container candle systems. Paper Core wicks feature a cotton outer braid surrounding the inner filament of papers. Our Paper Core Wick Sample Kit includes a variety of 10 sizes for a total of 100 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: 10-26 P, 28-24 P, 30-24 P, 36-28 P, 34-40 SP P, 36-24-24 P, 44-24-18 P, 44-28-18 P, 51-32-18 P, and 51-36-18 P.

Small Container Sample Kits are designed for candle systems with diameters under 2”. This kit includes a variety of our leading 6 wick series and contains 12 specific wicks for a total of 120 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Specific sizes included: Aroma-Lite 60, Helix-1, HTP-41, HTP-52, 10-26 C, 28-24 C, 30-24 C, 10-26 P, 28-24 P, 30-24 P, #5/0 BL SQ, and #4/0 BL SQ.
Medium Container Sample Kits are designed for candle systems with 2”-3” diameters. This kit includes a variety of our leading 6 wick series and contains 25 specific wicks for a total of 250 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Large Container Sample Kits are designed for candle systems with diameters greater than 3”. This kit includes a variety of our leading 6 wick series and contains 23 specific wicks for a total of 230 pieces (10 pieces/wick size). Burn Testing
Testing should be conducted under careful observation in an area away from combustible materials. Safety glasses should be worn at all times. Avoid contact with flame, fuel pool, or other surfaces that may be hot. Keep clothing, hair, etc. away from contact with the flame. Do not burn in drafts. When directed, keep wick trimmed to 1/4”. Always keep children and pets safely away from burning candles. The burn area should be well ventilated, and a Class B or Class ABC fire extinguisher should be readily available. Never leave a burning candle unattended. When dictated by the nature of the candle system, use appropriate flame-resistant candle holders, and ensure that the candle fits properly into the holder.
